cdem3D is the 3D version of the 2D compute "engine" cdem2D. It solves the same equations and includes the same element-element contact models and an ever-expanding suite of boundary conditions. At this stage, the code is still experimental (beta) and lacks a GUI. However, model results are saved in a very straightforward format which can be post-processed/displayed using Python and the various graphics libraries available therein, ParaView (an open-source, multi-platform data visualisation tool) or ImageTank - a MacOS tool which was used to produce the graphics/movies presented in this website.
cdem3D results can also be displayed and 3D strain calculated using a Python script generously provided by Nestor Cardozo.
